Safeway Beretania

Project Value: $21 Million
Completed: July 2012

  • 64,000 square feet two-story Safeway Store and 8,000 square feet of separate tenant buildings
  • Elevated building allows parking under the store as well as outside
  • Scope also included modifications to offsite streets, utilities and traffic signals (Piikoi, Beretania and Kinau Streets)
  • The project was completed from demolition to store grand opening in 10 months (ahead of schedule)

Fifty Three By The Sea

Project Value: $24 Million
Completed: August 2012

  • 18,825 square foot two-story replacement steel frame structure
  • Designed as a three-part building with the ground floor as a central element for the restaurant “53 by the Sea” and service facilities and two (2) second floor elements at the north and south ends of the central element for multi-purpose hospitality functions
  • Designed to continue the cultural and social amenities featured by the John Dominis Restaurant since 1979

Kukui’ula Shopping Village

Project Value: $46 Million
Completed: November 2010

  • Multifaceted Plantation Architecture
  • 11 Acre site, Eleven (11) Independent Commercial Buildings designed for retail, restaurant, and office use.
  • Building Construction: Concrete slab on grade, structural steel post and beam with cold form metal framing, pre-engineered wood trusses, with shake and metal roofs.
  • Four (4) two-story buildings with elevators;  approximately 91,600 square feet of retail space.
  • Extensive tropical landscaping, including Hawaiian moss rock walls and over 100 full grown coconut trees.
