Invited by PA’I, a non-profit dedicated to preserving native Hawaiian culture, with the Ford Foundation and EAH Housing the Ola Ka’ilima Artspace Lofts will provide living/working space for restricted income artists and their families. The Lofts are being built in Central Kaka’ako on Oahu and will be a mixed-use commercial and multi-family building with 84 living units and approximately 165,000 square feet of floor area. There will be 50-one bedroom, 30-two bedroom, and 4-three bedroom apartments. The ground floor, approximately 4,500 square feet, will be reserved for PA’I Arts & Culture Center for Native Hawaiian dancers, musicians, visual artists, and cultural practitioners. More than 17,000 square feet will be community and green-space including gardening area and community room. Unlimited Construction is excited to be a part of this innovative new project.
